How do I change the DNS records of my domain?
Sign in to Plesk, open the domain and choose “DNS settings”. Changes are usually visible worldwide within an hour.
How do I transfer a domain to uptopIQ?
Send us the domain name and the auth code from your current provider. We start the transfer and let you know when it is complete.
Why does my domain not show anything yet?
After registration it takes up to 24 hours until the domain is reachable everywhere. Also check in Plesk that it points to your webspace.
How do I upload my website?
Via FTP or SFTP with the credentials from Plesk, or directly with the file manager in Plesk. The web root is httpdocs.
How do I install WordPress?
In Plesk under “WordPress” click “Install”. Included from the Plus plan; the installer creates database and admin access.
Where are my backups?
In Plesk under “Backup Manager”. You can restore the daily backups of the last seven days yourself.
How do I set up my mailbox on my phone?
Incoming and outgoing server is mail.your-domain, the username is the full e-mail address. Encryption: SSL/TLS, ports 993 (IMAP) and 465 (SMTP).
How do I create a new mailbox?
In Plesk under “Mail” click “Create e-mail address”. The number of mailboxes depends on your plan.
How do I activate SSL?
The Basic certificate is issued automatically when the webspace is created. Check in Plesk under “SSL/TLS certificates” that redirection to HTTPS is on.
Do I have to renew my certificate?
No. Basic certificates renew automatically every 90 days. Business and Wildcard certificates renew with your subscription.
How do I cancel?
In subscription management (link in every invoice e-mail) click “Cancel”. The subscription runs until the end of the paid term.
Where do I find my invoices?
In the invoice portal under “Account”. You also get every invoice as PDF by e-mail.
Which payment methods are there?
Card, SEPA direct debit and bank transfer via Stripe. Payment is due yearly in advance.
What do I need for my own website?
A domain, a webspace plan and content. Order domain and webspace together; the SSL certificate is included.
How long does setup take?
Webspace and mailboxes are ready a few minutes after payment. Domains are reachable worldwide after up to 24 hours.
